Thank you for choosing the software solution for the Windows(r) 95
virus problem. If you are not familiar with this problem, I will
sumarize it here.

On Thursday August 31, 1995, just one week after the release of
Windows(r) 95, Microsoft Corporation held a press conference in New
York City to announce that their latest operating system is vulnerable to
viruses when installed. Representatives from Microsoft elaborated the problem
by stating that the second of thirteen disks is vulnerable to viruses
because the setup executable is designed to write information back to that
disk. Many of the viruses that attack the installation disk have prevented
the installation of the operating system. The solution Microsoft has
presented to its customers is; if the data on disk 2 is damaged by a virus,
we will replace disk 2 after the damage has been done.

This software has been designed to protect installation disk 2 from viruses.
It gives you the ability to create a virus free backup of disk 2, which you
can use to install the operating system while safely keeping aside the
original installation disk. If a virus attacks disk 2, you can easily take
the appropriate measures and have the ability to attempt another installation
immediately.

This application is distributed as shareware. You are encouraged to
distribute the file named CB95.zip to friends, bulletin boards, the internet.
All we ask is that you provide a link to the official site for CleanBackup
and the following statement:

To use this application, you need to have two blank 1.44 megabyte disks
(those having 'HD' embedded next to the shutter). One disk will be used in
conjunction with the application and one will be used to backup disk 2.
To begin, run the executable named CB95.EXE, and follow the instructions.
You can hit the escape key to cancel the program when instructed to press
any key.

If the application disk is created and it won't boot, there is a very strong
possibility that you have a boot sector virus. At that point you should use
anti-virus software to scan the hard drive(s). If no virus is identified
through a virus scan, your disk might be infected with an undiscovered virus.
If this should happen to you save the disk and call me or write me using the
information below or e-mail me at 'mkeleher@soleil.acomp.usf.edu'.
